The principle elements of Student Support Services provided to all students at Eastcape Midlands College include Pre-Entry, On-Course and Exit level Support. Therefore,
you are entering an exciting new phase in your young life – one that is aimed at preparing you to create a new future not only for yourself, but for all mankind. Student Support Services are available at all our campuses where staff members are committed to supporting you while you are a student at Eastcape Midlands TVET College. Our Student Support Services Division provides a range of services to all the students so that they can become effective functioning individuals who are equipped with personal social skills, who are able to adapt to changing life demands and enter the world of work.
We strive to help our students academically and socio-psychologically, to succeed and graduate on time; realise their employability and entrepreneurial goals. Furthermore, move on with life, to be economic contributors and develop the socio-economic conditions of their Regions, South Africa and the World.

Our Student Support Services Approach
Student Academic Support:
The aim of Student Academic Support is to improve performance of students who have poor foundational knowledge and skills carried forth from lower levels of learning. This includes poor grasping of knowledge attributed to different socio-economic factors and poor levels of motivation. Our Student Academic Support Interventions are:

Personal Support (Counseling And Referrals):
At Eastcape Midlands TVET College we fully understand that students are all individuals with different types of needs. Therefore we invite all students to visit the Student Support Office whenever you need help with concerns such as:
- academic performance
- test anxiety
- poor concentration
- interpersonal relationships
- career decisions
- low self-esteem
- family
- HIV and Aids
- drug/alcohol abuse
- grief over loss of a close friend or family member
Disability Support:
Eastcape Midlands TVET College commits themselves to provide services to students with disabilities that can give them an equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of the educational environment. The Student Support Division is there to create a welcoming campus that meets the needs of students with disabilities, foster student independence and recognizes students on the basis of their abilities rather than their disabilities. Therefore we invite students to make an appointment with your Student Liaison Officer at the campus in order to discuss the services offered to students with disabilities, such as:
