Social

An active social life is as much a part of Eastcape Midlands TVET College as studying. Whether it’s competitive or recreational and entertaining, there’s sporting; arts and cultural activities for all students to compete, play, thrive and bring their A game.

As a student you will be able to represent your campus at inter campus events, if selected progress to representing the college at Provincial events and ultimately if selected during provincial events represent the province at National level.

Arts And Culture/Choral

If you have a flair for performing arts or visual arts, we have a selection of platforms for you to display your talents and participate in activities such as:

  • Dance (traditional; gumboot; freestyle; pantsula)
  • Drawing (pencil; charcoal; brush painting)

If you are blessed with a talent for singing and serenading others, we offer you the opportune occasion to optimize this talent. The following choral categories are catered for:

Academic Eisteddfod

This is a platform where students showcase their academic talents in a fun and structured environment. It promotes intellectual growth; critical thinking and teamwork. The Eisteddfod aims to celebrate academic excellence while encouraging healthy competition among students.

Sport

Whether your interest in sport lies in the occasional participation in zonal matches, representing your campus during intercampus matches where each campus has the opportunity to showcase their sporting talent, progressing to the provincial level where you would like to wave your College flag high on provincial level or exceed all expectations by taking your college to the highest level of representation on a national level, the college can cater for all your sporting needs.

Eastcape Midlands College offers the following sporting codes and all students are encouraged to participate:

  • Table tennis (male/female)

As a student you would have the opportunity to proudly represent Eastcape Midlands College during the Annual Provincial Choral Music competition. During this competition choristers are awarded prizes for outstanding performance in each category.
